Randi's vegetable garden.This year, I planted my own garden and joined a CSA – Community Supported Agriculture.

I had no idea growing my own food would be so much fun and soul-satisfying!

There is nothing more satisfying than spending time in the garden getting dirt under my fingernails and growing my own food.  It's like free therapy!!

           
      You don't have to grow your own garden to have access to fresh produce.  Check out your local
Farmer's Market, join a CSA or walk the Produce Department in your local supermarket. 
           
                   
      Local, organic produce is best and in a perfect world, this would be available to everyone.  Since
we don't live in a perfect world, I recommend you buy local over organic if you have to choose.
           
                   
      Local food will have the MOST nutrients because it has not traveled several thousand miles to get to
you.  Whether you buy local, organic, or conventionally grown food, try to buy vegetables that are
in season.  This will help keep your body balanced.
           
                   
      It doesn't make sense to eat tropical fruits, like bananas, in the middle of winter!
